Discover native Texas wildlife with TWRC Wildlife Center

We offer exciting and engaging outreach programs with the help of our team of animal ambassadors.

TWRC Wildlife Education Center

Supporting conservation through environmental education!  We teach about the benefits of coexisting with our wild neighbors, their roles in the urban ecosystem, and how to help wildlife in need.

Our programs are specially-tailored to the age of the audience and are great for classrooms, scout groups, club meetings, or special occasions!  Onsite or offsite programs are available in 30, 45, or 60-minute formats.

Programs may include any of the following live animals:

  • Box turtles or Texas tortoise
  • Native Texas snakes
  • Eastern Screech Owl
  • Virginia Opossum

Please note: TWRC Wildlife Center is working to ensure the safety of staff, animals, and audiences during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We are currently evaluating each program request on a case-by-case basis.

Program Fees:

TWRC Wildlife Center receives no state or federal funding and is supported by donations.  The following fees help to support our education program.   We may have limited funds from sponsorships to offer programs at reduced rates or free to nonprofits, designated Title 1 schools, or underserved communities.
