Since 1979, TWRC Wildlife Center has been committed to providing quality emergency care and rehabilitation for injured, ill and orphaned wildlife brought to us by the public. Through education, and engaging the public in wildlife-care programs, TWRC continues to make a difference for urban wildlife threatened by loss of habitat.

TWRC has adopted an organizational structure modeled after successful non-profit businesses. A Board of Directors, comprised of 5 or more voting volunteers and 1 non-voting volunteer, governs our organization. Board volunteers are elected for a two-year term and work as a unified body to provide the vision, advocacy and leadership needed to ensure the success and sustainability of our operations and programs.

  1. Meetings are generally held once per month.
  2. We often communicate ideas and strategies via email in addition to in-person meetings.
  3. We utilize diverse skill-sets from among the Board volunteers to address the various needs of the organization, i.e., writing, fundraising, public relations, marketing, legal, accounting, etc.
  4. New volunteers will be elected to a general Director position. A Director may be elected to a vacant officer position by vote of the Board Members.

We welcome inquiries regarding available Board positions. We are seeking key people, committed to TWRC's mission and future, who are willing to share their input, resources, skills and talents to personally help our organization succeed, move forward and grow.
